Gene Wang: Hi! I am Gene Wang Fantasy Football Writer for the Washington Post in washingtonpost.

com. Welcome to my video on how to play Fantasy football. Now if you are anything like me, you have football on the brain, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Even when it's not football season I am watching the NFL network, NFL live on ESPN and reading the Washington Post football coverage everyday to keep up with the latest news and just to get my fix. If you are also probably one of those football fans that growing up who said to himself, "You know what, I give you the General Manager of a professional team. I can be in the world on drafting with the owner, with the other front office personnel, with the coaching staff deciding the future of the franchise.

" Then you probably convince yourself that you can coach the team too, right? I mean why not? All you have to do is set your lineup each week and if there are injuries, make the right substitutions. Well here is your chance to prove it. Welcome to the world of Fantasy Football. Fantasy Football is a phenomenon that has been sweeping the football community for many years now. Some estimates have as many as 20 million involved in Fantasy Football and in Las Vegas, thousands of dollars are wagered each season on Fantasy Football. But you don't have to be a gambler to participate in Fantasy Football. All you need are a healthy love for the sport, some friends, a computer and some Fantasy Football magazines and you are basically good to go. So whether if you are a newcomer or a person who is already in a league and looking for some tips on how to set up a winning team, you have come to the right place. In this series of videos, I am going to show you how to start and join a league, how to draft your team, how to set your lineup each week, the different types of league you can join and maybe most important, the top five players in each position this year. One thing I should mention on a personal safety note, you will be entering your information into websites that keeps score of your league and keep track of who is leading each week. Use common sense when doing this as you would when you enter your personal information in any website and also keep in mind, you probably need a thick skin if you have friends like mine because they will harass you and torment you on every move you make and every pick you make during your fantasy drafts. I have 20 years of experience in sports writing and sports editing at the Washington Post. Many of those years devoted to covering professional football and playing and writing about Fantasy Football. So strap on that chinstrap, tighten those cleats and let's get going.
